I bought this new in the late 70s. The board was removed in early 80s and installed from memory recently. I'm not able to find anyone who has this version. The board says EH 5200-1C NP. Does anyone have this version who could provide pics of the board connections.

The schem doesn't help? The copper side transistor seems odd, I haven't seen EH effects with such components upside down...

I have worked on a later (non-curved traces) model, but still the same circuit (just some extra filter caps)
I used the schematic for the EM18v that can be found on the net to follow the circuit without any problem.

Never seen so many units in so little time... And getting used to EHX copperside components!

The schem should really help, let us know! :D

Wow awesome responses with great results. I'm out of town right now, but can't wait to get back to fix this. The last time I played through this pedal was 1978. It sounded great back then. Educate me on this version in terms of curved traces, copperside traces, etc. I'm not real familiar with the EH Mistress. I've also got an EH Echo Flanger from the same period that needs extreme help.

On mine there was a loss of volume in effect mode. So i added an volume pot (as seen on the pics)
I also added true byepass.
This pedal has lots of depht but lots of noise also. I have A/B with a new DLX electric mistress and found the new ones to be less noisier but less depht in the effect.

I have a 9V version; I LOVE IT!

I had 8 of the 18V's in for some minor repairs and to have the volume drop fixed. Sound good but I prefer the 9V

Hi I'm quite new to pimping pedals so my first question is where can I get the parts for the electric mistress. I have the same version as the pictured one but one of the potentiometers has broken so i need to replace it but cant seem to find the same one. Also is a way to add mains power to this pedal or can one still buy those small 18v AC supplies? Any help would be much appriciated. Thank you

Try http://www.smallbearelec.com. Steve has many EH parts. Other than that, look for CTS pots with long lugs...

The mains powered units have a transformer inside and rectifier circuitry... Best is to seek for a clean 18V DC then, and I think EH sells some with the mini-jack style plug.

I wouldn't mind looking for "genuine" looking parts considering it might be an oldie... Though your tip should do it ok..

Would you share your volume knob mod? I have the same unit!

My version:

Schematic

I've changed the input, output and added a switch to switch in and out the over treble response on this unit. I really like it but sometimes it gets too treble when I use it with my bass. Switching the cap to 10n make the unit more bass responsive but still has that original sparkle!
