LANDGRAFF BOOST QUESTION

Hi
i'm going to build a Landgraff boost and i've found both schem/layout and pics.
But i'm confused a bit because layout and pics are not (imho) the same thing.
I mean, in the pic there is a cap (the blue one) that is not present in the landy layout (which is supposed to be a Zvex SHO clone)
Can you help me? Does anyone can give a correct layout/schem?
thank you
hot

The big blue capacitor is replaced by the 10 uF that is in the top right hand corner of the Vero layout. GrandLaff just used the big electrolytic for bogus "mojo" reasons.

The other electrolytic that you see in the gutshot will be a power supply filtering cap. If you want to include that too just put a 47uF between 9V and ground.

Here's another layout I did which includes the filter cap and protection diode. I laid it out so that all the components could be put pretty much in a nice straight line:

What can i say?...
THANK YOU :D :D
Do you think that filter cap and the 47 micro to ground are essential for this project?
Don't they affect the tone in any way?
thank you

Unless I've got an obvious space on the vero which I could use for it, I really don't bother but it's up to the individual - you could always solder a cap straight across the dc adapter if you wanted to keep it off-board. I'm reasonably confident about the quality of my power supply so it doesn't bother me too much and it shouldn't affect the tone in any noticeable way although there may be those who disagree because it does smooth the supply.

That looks exactly like an SHO? It seem that everyone is always giving Z a hard time where this guy is really worse in my opinion. Who is this Landgraff guy anyway? I see his stuff being sold for top dollar and it's really nothing special and it doesn't even look like it's put together that well.

A quick search reveals Landgraff boosters going for $269! Whoa, you can get an SHO for $239. Or, build it yourself for ~$20!

Add to that the Langraff Dymanic OD which is a Tube Screamer a la Son of screamer (jack orman) but with the Buffers left in tact. Lovepedal Eternity is exactly the SOS.
The MOD is a early Rat clone straight up.

I read a review that raved about these Landgraff pedals. The review also mentioned how well built they were? I'm not impressed. The build looks OK. I remember seeing his TS clone and thought it was sloppy with the parts all crammed together. These are always done on perfboard, which isn't bad, but hardly earns points in the build dept.
