Dinky Drive - Bad Cat Mini II pedal port

I've been working through a few amp to pedal ports, and here's the first one: the Dinky Drive.
I pulled the schem from the Mini II thread in the AMP section of the forum to start. No changes were made other than fixing the volume control (from the original drawing in that thread). I did try other values for C9, but settled on a 130pF MICA (mostly because I'm out of 100pF ceramic ATM). So far, I'm digging it. I have only tried 2N5457's with this, so I don't know if j201 gives more overdrive, or substantially different results.
Here's the project file with the PCB artwork in case anyone would like to build it:
Next up is my Vox Night Train port!

It's connected to the grounding plane underneath the package drawing There's a little thermal strip that runs vertically through the pad which connects it...just can't see it because of the lead coming off the diode.

How would you say this sounds in comparison to the English Channel? At first I really dug the EC, but its starting to sound a bit Ice Picky with my Tele.
