Just asked for clarification.For the knee curve of course. this is why four diodes give better results than one.
But there was a reason I asked for silicon diodes. Namely, do you think - or know if you played with these already - that if somebody used schottkys in place of germaniums (deliberatelly) - would that produce more "fuzzy" characteristic instead of "tube-like"?
Yeah, however functionally to me it seems more important as frequency dependant AC feedback element and as the time constant in dynamic operation mode?Don`t forget - we already have DC local negative feedback by source resistor.
I think that everybody around here already figured this one out!because constantly experimenting
