To the digital connector it is possible to connect micro-controller for loading your own programs in DSP.
Example of program for ATMEGA128, compatible with Wavefront DRE Development System.

Example delay with digital feedback (5 DSP commands)
Maximum possible delay (mono) 30% feedback

Intermediate delay 50% feedback

Intermediate delay 70% feedback

You are like Zorro, or Batman or something.

When I read your project files I feel like I'm eating dinner at the kiddie table wondering what the adults are talking about.

Yeesh.

As the experiment I tried to make the imitation of analog delay.
ATMEGA measures the position of potentiometers (through ADC) and dynamically changes DSP program: delay factor and feedback depth.
This chip allows to load from 1 instruction to whole program buffer. So for this imitation I have to modify only two instructions (this takes very short time). Full illusion of analog delay.

The CoolAudio V1000 (copy of the AL3201), an audio codec and an Atmel microcontroller are available for cheap in most digital Behringer pedals : DD-600, DR-600, FX-100, etc. (not the "machine" ones, they use a bigger DSP).

The easiest mod would be to disconnect the controller, and use 4 switches to select one of the 16 presets. The more complicated mod would involve custom programming of the DSP, thru custom programming of the controller.

I still have to dump the I²C messages between the controller and the DSP on my DD-600, before trying to re-program them ...
but i've been playing more with my guitar than my soldering iron lately

Unfortunately the protocol of the exchange there not I²C but its unique, read datasheet carefully.
There is source of exchange protocol with AL3201/V1000

Ooops, maybe that's why i had problems with the I²C sniffing ... :slap:
must. read. datasheet. carefully.

And thanks for the source code !
I'll port that on Arduino when i find some time.

hello guys! :D
I'm new in this forum.
i need a project using v1000 chip ...i've found this project but now the links seems not working.
Could anyone help me to recover all the files / informations.
Thnkkks

shame the links have gone astray.. I'd be interested in seeing more applications of the v1000 chip... any reason it appears to be passed over?

Wait several days, process of moving domain name to new IP address.
Immediately you can get information by changing domain name in links to IP address.

Never seen this thread before. Even without those file I think KMG is going to be on my cool list for the next couple of weeks. 8)

FYI here's a little demonstration of my Femtoverb, a AL3201 based circuit, for which I build a controller with an LCD display and some buttons.
The demo shows all of the factory presets.

There is some reverb audible even in the non reverb presets because I forgot to turn of my amps reverb, but still the demo will give a good impression of the AL3201's presets

Добрый день друзья. У меня испортился микшер behringer xenyx 1002fx. Испортился ATmega8 который загружает пресеты в процессор V1000. (AL3201)!!!! Где можно найти прошивку для ATmega8? Может чем то сможете помочь? Image

I was looking how to replace the internal AL3201 programs and came upon this thread. So my question is are there any free FX files available for this chip (interested mostly in delays) and a guide how to load them into the chip?
