Looks like the thread is here:
http://www.thegearpage.net/board/showth ... p?t=687013

Or at least a different thread.

That power supply jack looks funky. I wonder why it has so many pins? Is it providing two different voltages?

It seems that one pin of each tube is connected directly to one of the pins on the power jack. Heaters?

His website says "Power Supply included with adjustable power to tubes"

.......so there may be more to it than meets the eye. We are not seeing the entire circuit without seeing the power supply.

I'm still betting 6111 though.

at least they didn't delete that one, but they did delete the one with these gut shots. I started a new one for that.

The power supply only says is 120v 60hz which i'm sure is refering the wall current. It has a weird connector w/ 3 prongs and jacket around them. 2 of the prongs read 200v and one reads 13v.

This one is older, it doesn't have the adjustable supply, just a floor wart.

What's the voltage at each pin of the tubes?

I've cracked open the power supply now. There's a circuit board w/ 3 resistors and 8 diodes. The transformer is Mercury Magnetics (fancy). Part number: SGA 6-2x2pc.

I'll takes the readings off the pins when I put it back together later tonight. I'll also post a few more gut shots.

wow, TGP sure is a whackjob hangout. makes me feel odd browsing the classifieds for used humbuckers there. i normally steer clear of the place, but just had to post on that thread.... love this forum and ampgarage.com. learned practically everything i know about amps over there.
In the interest of full disclosure, I am Animal Factory Amplification.

More gut shots. Between these and the others i think that shows everything pretty well and i'm going to put the pedal back together, take the readings from the pins and hopefully order some tubes.

does the fact that the power supply puts out 200v change anyone's opinion of it being most likely 6111? i'm guessing that each tube gets 200v and the 12v pin is for the leds?

By the way feel free to share and post any of the gut shots i post anywhere you want or download them for your records. Public domain images.

Hmmm, the supply puts out 200v but the plate resistors will drop that down some. The absolute maximum for a stock 6111 is 165v. Tubes with the 'W' and 'WA' suffix will handle more. But I'd think the voltage at pins 1 and 8 are below 165v.

You mentioned 13v before. That would be logical for the two tubes' heaters running in series. And the LEDs.

To my eye, it looks like one of the tubes has plate resistors that are red/yellow/red, 2.4k.

The other tube looks like it has only one plate resistor and a cathode resistor of the same value on the opposite triode's cathode, which would indicate a cathode follower. Unless I am having trouble reading the image, I see grey(maybe violet)/black/yellow, which gives 800(or700)k. That is an odd value, but I may not be seeing it right.

The two tan resistors that are next to each other are red/yellow/red.

in person they are pink/black/yellow. i'm gonna take a guess and say the pink ones are for brown since the cap is already brown. the resistor appears 4 places on the board. all the brown carbon comp resistors look like they came from the same manufacturer. The resistors under the 5 and 6th pots are yellow/violet/yellow. There is one with grey directly directly above the 3pdt (blue/grey/pink). There is one with orange in front of the third pot (orange/blue/orange) and one with red under the 47pf cap above the 3pdt (red/red/green).
