I have some of these and am wondering what in the world to make with them.

BTW - it cost $7 in SBE, so It have to be made of gold!

It's a 6-stage job and (as I recall) was quite noisy. It used the usual FET switching, and the LFO wave shape was quite poor, leading to an uneven phasing sound (though that might have been due to some dingbat previous owner who had tried to "improve" it!). I sold mine in a box of miscellaneous musical junk on ebay a while ago when I was clearing out the rubbish in my workshop.

Here's the spec sheet for the Vactrols so you can see how they compare. You may get away with using one in a Demeter Compulator which is supposed to be fantastic on bass.

DOD EF440 uses one. It kind of occupies it's own niche in the world of envelope filters. Subtle, love to be driven with fuzz or distortion.

Okay I have 3 of these unused.
Ill work up a parts list tonight of what I really really need. Cause these things will just sit here.
