+1!!!

And a bit more info about the transformer that you used...

It would be great to have a single sided pcb layout that fits with different transformers, most interesting for me would be Burkhard Lehles LTHZ:

He sells them separately. Not cheap, but worth the prize..

and what's the difference to the one used by SoulSonic and the Xicon TM018 used by Musikding?

The LTZH can be used with passive signals without any signal loss. I don´t know the prize exactly, 55 - 60€, I guess.
If you have a buffered signal anyway, it´s definitely overkill.

I did some testing when i was building a buffer/splitter for my pedalboard using TM018 trafos.
Here's a frequency response of an TM018 driven directly from OPA4227 voltage follower against direct opamp buffer output:

As you can see it rings at about 24kHz, but it is well beyond typical "guitar" bandwidth.
The tests were made using 24bit 96kHz external card, the output of the buffer was going into 1Mohm input impendance.

hi everybody! ..and happy to see freestompboxes back online

I have a general question about using a transformer for signal isolation:
in order to obtain a phase inversion, can I just reverse the poles of the secondary winding ?

I am pretty sure you speak for all of us there. There may of course be one or two exceptions but I doubt they will be posting too often now.

Yes, you can reverse either the output winding or the input winding (but not both of them).
