I just recently got kind of interested in trying to build some pickups. I was wondering where I can get parts to make pickups. I saw they had them at StewMac, but I would rather shop elsewhere. Any ideas? Also, does anybody know of good resources for how to build pickups?

The pickup maker's section of the Music Electronics Forum is insane. If I were going to build pickups, I bury myself in a cave and read all of the threads in that section before I spent a penny on parts.
