Just found 15 BC170's

What to use these for. The easiest crossrefence to find is the nte199.

Information
Are these "A", "B", or "C"? These denote the gain range. "A" are <100 Hfe, and "C" are >200 up to 600! The max collector current is 100mA, and the Vce max is 20V. The Ft is 100 MHz. They look like they'd be good in an AM transistor radio!chicago_mike wrote:What to use these for. The easiest cross reference to find is the nte199.

C versions.
am radio...eh..not for pedals I take it.
Okay, I have no attachment to parts.

You could use them in almost anything, but they won't be particularly quiet if you're trying to get lots of gain from them (I wouldn't use them in a Big Muff, for example), but in a low gain circuit, they'll be fine.chicago_mike wrote:C versions.

Isn't this question a bit like: I found some tubes, what amplifier can I build from this? Or: I found some wheels, what car can I build. For transistors, only type and gain range really matters, I believe...

You could build every pedal Zvex has ever designed with that many bs170s couldn't you?
Testing, testing, won too fwee
