just scour ebay for broken wahs or cheap wahs. I;ve found you can usually get a cheapo cry baby for like 35 bucks or so, and then you get everything including the pot and switch and some other reusable parts.

I have done the same. You can usually get fully functioning ones for bewteen 30-40 bucks including shipping if you are patient. I have gotten about 4 or so in the past.Dr Tony Balls wrote:just scour ebay for broken wahs or cheap wahs. Hey, Zeppe, check out this tread
https://www.freestompboxes.org/viewtopic ... =wah+shell
There is an option in my last post of using plastic ABS wah enclosure made by an company in my country - it's approx $15
I'm not saying it's the best option, but it's the cheapest option for sure...
I'll start doing my wah shell research soon as well, and I think I'll do what Dr Tony Balls, and CHEEZOR did
Cheers
Pawel

Thanks for the tips guys.
My main problem is that I'm in Ireland and wahs come up rarely enough here and are insanely overpriced. I cry when I see the prices old wahs are going for in the
US
No sellers are interested in shipping here because they're so heavy.
This looks good and is in Europe, but the shipping is 22euro!

Sinner, I'll have a look at those plastic enclosures, thanks for the heads up

not sure what they weigh but if you can fit them in a usps flat rate package its ten bucks shipping. but i got one i think let me look but you might have to fashion a bottom plate for it. i am not sure i get about five a year in for repair or mod and usually they just buy one of my wahs so i either mod them or just part them out.
have you thought about smelting your own metal and casting some its ridiculously easy and if you have access to sand you can make the old sand cast molds easy enough. or something a bit sturdier but they even have a diy smelter converted from a microwave oven
