Mhm... I think bubstance meant that C3 should go from +9 to ground (filterig), not from R10 to ground, where as you say seems to be shunting all the output from Q2's collector.

Yeah, in the CSOD schem I saw there was a 22uF from 9v to ground instead of where it is. Perhaps a misprint?
