help me find some info on this part please

i have a motorola
30J7F 0503 its marked as a fet with D S G however all attemps to find a datasheet or even a suitable replacement have failed.
its a groove tube st-55 mic

Could it be a J307? That's a VHF P-channel FET.

got a link to datasheet. it could very well be that i coudlnt' find anything on it.
i guess i should mention that it is a to-92 case

The J307 comes in a TO92 case (not much help, really, as a large percentage of transistors come in those!).
Why do you need to replace the device?

ok the j307 looks like suitable replacement for it. but no luck on finding it to-92 case. and i forgot to add that the previous one was in a metal can. i did however find the preamp schematic for it courtesy of lovely chaps at fender.
