First, love the site! I'm extremely new to this, just ordered the parts for my first pedal today as a matter of fact, and I've been reading everything I can point my browser to. I've come across something I'm a bit confused about. I read that in order for the battery to be disconnected from the circuit when you pull the cable out of the input jack that the jack has to be stereo. I ordered mono jacks for the Snow White autowah build (Yes, I'm getting help since that is a pretty ambitious first project :D ) since it's not a stereo pedal. Should stereo jacks be used regardless of whether or not the output will be in stereo?

Please excuse the question if all this does is show my ignorance. I'd link the place I read it if I could remember where I found it. Anyway, much thanks to everyone that has contributed to the site. Some of the work I've seen here is really amazing.

I'm still waiting for my parts to arrive. My mouser order should be here tomorrow so I can start populating the PCB. I've decided that, for this pedal, that I'm not going to put a battery snap in it but go off my pedal board's power. I appreciate the feedback though. This is definitely not going to be my last pedal build.

If you are interested in the specifics, I got the PCB from www.guitarpcb.com (the snowy white autowah) http://www.guitarpcb.com/apps/webstore/ ... ow/1466721

This looks to be negative ground to me.

Negative lead. Otherwise you'll short circuit your battery (unless it's a positive ground circuit).
Check tonepad for the off board wiring. :)
