Found the gut pic floating around on the web, so I pulled it in and uploaded.

Nice looking stuff. Circuit-wise, I'm thinking something close to a Zen Drive but with different clipping diodes.

their "master built" series boost is $549.

Wow. That is nutty. I do remember coming across that one a few years ago. I don't remember it costing quite so much!

I picked up one of their "Chicken Soup" pedals cheap a while back, and I should have posted pics because the case design is different and fairly clever.
The Chicken Soup is supposed to be a tweaked clone of a Nobels ODR-1, but I have an original and this thing sounded pretty weak in comparison (hence the reason I got it cheap.. everyone who'd tried it moved it right on).

I got hold of the schematic, and there were unneeded parts in there left over from the removal of the switching system and all sorts of crazy things that indicated that whoever designed it didn't really understand what they were doing.
I did some serious mods to it and it sounds great now.
If anyone has one of these and wants to know how to wake it up, let me know.

Another of their range that intrigues me is the Blue Note... but probably just because I have an unending fascination for low gain ODs.

Aren't these the guys who made up fake usernames on TGP to boast about their pedals, and were outed on the first page? One of the few things worth reading over there...

The community appreciates your open and giving spirit. However, in the past we've had images linked to other places and then one day they go missing. So the easiest thing to do is make a local copy (which happens automatically every time you view an image on the web anyway) and upload it to our server here.

That's what I do with all the gut shot photos that I take. Once they're uploaded here, they're "safe" from magically disappearing.

Is that pedal red on the outside and black on the inside? All the Animal OD's I've seen were red.

I do like the case design. I wonder what type of jacks they are using. They are more narrow than the Marshall types. That would come in very handy for tighter builds.

I believe all the cases are wrinkle black, while the front and back are painted to the colour of the particular model (it's a 3 piece case).
The screw attachments are swaged on... not part of the casting.

That 'splanes a few questions I had about the case and shit. i.e. How's the top [inside] a different
color than the body and the screw bosses that would obscure painting just that.

As for the Ein/Aus jax, they are a little narrower than Cliff or Neutrik but the contacts look like they
were staked into place without a jig or are of very thin material with little or no tempering. At $550 per
box, one might be expecting Gold/Rhodium plating in an industry proven configuration such as the
above mentioned mfg's. produx. Why the "flogged-assed", excuse me, the venerable 4558D OP-Amp?
That is so Usta-Wuz in comparison to the Burr-Brown IC. Having not heard this pedal I'll admit my
comments reek of cork snifferism. But today's buyer seems considerably more informed regarding the
the build quality of what constitutes a high-end FX investment. Did I mention I love the chocolate brown
solder mask and his use of concise similitude in a portmanteau? Yes, I did.

I am a little bit sensitive about my photos and reusing them without permission

I'm also primarily a hobby photographer (I've had maybe 50 photos published in news/trade journals), and I know that a lot of photographers are crazy sensitive about having absolute control over any photograph they make. I'm definitely of the opposite viewpoint. In my opinion, if you post something online, you're saying (by default) that it's okay to use for non-commercial purposes. The very nature of the web requires each person who views an online photo to download a copy for viewing, so right away there is a copyright issue if you're an absolutist. There are by now thousands of "unauthorized" copies of your photo floating around on hard drives all over the world from people loading that one page on TGP.

I think you've really only got two viable options for maintaining rights:
• Watermark your images (doesn't necessarily prevent reuse, but at least gets you credit)
• Don't post them online (100% effective)

I always follow the "golden rule" when it comes to photos posted online. I sure wouldn't care if someone reposted one of my photos because they saw some non-financial value in it. In fact, I'd likely be flattered that other people liked my work enough to go to the trouble of rehosting it and discussing it.

I think the jacks are made by Switchcraft. I've seen them used in Peavey amps.

I know what You mean. Copyrights and such are not easy in a digital world. Sometimes it's really hard to say.
Viewing the online and then closing the browser (and some time later clearing the browser cache) it's not necessarily the same as viewing and then saving it somewhere in the storage.
Determining is IMO the intension: what will be done with a photo later.

But coming back to the roots of this whole off-topic
What I would do (and I do) in such a case is:
I put the link to the original photo on the forum,
but download and save a copy for my personal usage in a case the online-photo will be gone someday.

I always follow the "golden rule" when it comes to photos posted online. I sure wouldn't care if someone reposted one of my photos because they saw some non-financial value in it. I have a Blue Note OD it's really very similar to the Animal OD, I would say the pcb is the same as the Blue Note only a few minor part changes!
I could make a pic of the inside of the Blue Note, I can email it to one of you guys so you can put it here on this page.

Thanks to Seljetnoma kindly sending me some detailed pics of his Rockett Blue Note, I have it 90% traced and will put the schematic up as soon as it's done.
This looks to be an almost identical ciruit except for values, so we should be able to crack 2 at once..
